Classes and Courses
JUNIOR PERFORMING GROUP
The Junior Performing Group is a free class held on Saturdays for all students Grade 1 and above enrolled in one of the weekly classes and is preparation for the Annual Show at The Brentwood Theatre.
Junior Performing Group sessions are a very important and popular part of the EDT Training
SENIOR PERFORMING GROUP
The Senior Performing Group is a free class on Mondays for all students (Grade 4 & Above) enrolled in any one of the weekly classes and is preparation for the Annual Show at The Brentwood Theatre.
There is no audition or selection policy - requirements are energy & enthusiasm!
BRENTWOOD PERFORMANCE COMPANY & EXTRAS
Company is run independently of Essex Dance Theatre but alongside timetabled classes.
In house & guest choreographers are invited to introduce the Company members to a greater variety of dance styles.
Company allows the members to enhance their dance experience and ability in a serious, but fun and sociable environment.
The Company is demanding!
Our aim is to generate a strong togetherness and camaraderie between the team members, which will be evident from the help, respect and support the dancers give each other.
EXTRAS is our pre-company group running concurrently with Company on Saturday afternoons (or for those dancers unable to commit to the requirements for Company)
Members Minimum commitment requirements are:-
- Regular technique lessons
- Company Rehearsals (Saturday afternoons)
- Ballet
- Modern and/or Jazz
- Body Conditioning.
- Senior Performing Group Rehearsals(Mondays)
Only for those committed to dance at EDT & working productively as a group
Dance at EDT should be a Company Member’s Main Hobby
