The EDT Brentwood Satellite Centre is part of the Essex Dance Theatre county-wide Dance Project
Classes in Brentwood take place in Becket Keys School Dance Studios weekday evenings & Saturdays
EDT uses the art of dance as a tool for youth work, developing social and communication skills, boosting physical activity and mental health - whilst establishing self-confidence!
Essex Dance Theatre has a wide range of dance experiences to offer the young people of Brentwood.
The community feel is paramount and so much more than dancing is learnt within our classes.

TRAINING WITH EDT
Students undertake classes in their own choice of Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz styles, working towards ISTD examinations for dancers who wish to do so.
New students are able to join Essex Dance Theatre at any age (from 3+) with or without previous experience and are always made most welcome.
EDT offers an open-door policy where every child is valued and carefully taught in a positive atmosphere. Our school has a wonderful community feel where students are known and treated as individuals.

JUNIOR AND SENIOR PERFORMING GROUPS
All students are invited to be a part of the Performing Groups you see here. These weekly performing group sessions are free of charge to all EDT students.
There is no audition or selection policy, only a commitment to attend rehearsals and to offer energy and enthusiasm!
Indeed they form a vital part and very popular component of the training offered at EDT.
Saturday Junior Performing Group is a free weekly session for students Grade 1 - 3 Ballet/Tap/Modern
